The director and star of the documentary “Why I’m Not on Facebook,” INvelop Entertainment CEO Brant Pinvidic, is set to release “Why I’m Not on Pokemon Go” on digital platforms on Nov. 30.
The short will be produced by Josh Klein and Garret Greco, and focuses on the smash hit app Pokemon Go, which this year became the most downloaded app in history. The film expands the “Why I’m Not On…” title and format, which INvelop and STX Entertainment are developing as a documentary series for 2017.
Pinvidic sets out once again to understand a new phenomenon that has taken the world by storm, Pokemon Go. In the short, Pinvidic travels across the country, asking the big question to family members, die-hard Pokemon trainers, and even celebrities — all in the name of better connecting with his own 13-year-old daughter.
Pinvidic formed INvelop Entertainment earlier this year with an overall production deal with STX Entertainment. He previously served as president and CCO of 3 Ball Entertainment, where he exec produced such shows as “Bar Rescue” and “Extreme Weight Loss.”
He is repped by WME.
